“A difference in political opinion” is not the same as spewing racism, hatred, and condoning violence (the very same form of violence which took his own life ironically). Whether you mourn his death or not, no one should be treating this man like a hero. He was not.

You know, all the people who keep saying shit like this are poking at “the bear” too. Yet you’re not afraid of being killed. Because you’re not “poking” a bear, you’re talking to other human beings who have the decency not to fucking kill you over your stupid opinion. An innocent man wasn’t afforded that decency because a bunch of people said things like what you’re saying and created permission for a radical to do something.

It’s the same strategy that the Westboro Baptist Church capitalizes off of- hoping someone takes a swing so they can sue. I’m not saying what happened to Charlie Kirk was right, but it is by no means surprising.
