Yeah i doubt its a piece of your actual enamel then. Worth mentioning to your dentist though in case it is a chipped filling

Nw! Yeah your teeth enamel can withstand about 200 lbs of pressure (on average, molars can withstand a bit more). Unless you had a traumatic injury or somehow have the strongest bite force ever AND your body somehow didnt prevent you from doing that, i doubt your tooth itself is cracked. That being said im a biology student and NOT A DENTIST! Talk with them if you have any other symptoms

(Though you can damage and crack teeth with bad bruxism (tooth grinding), so if thats an issue for you it could happen i guess)

I do grind my teeth but would that make only the center pop out? And it was like sticking out before I caught it on my finger while trying to get a piece of food out

I mean it could be food or a chipped filling most likely. If theres pain, pressure, or increased sensitivity, id see a dentist. If not, just bring it up at your next cleaning
