I AGREE but i do want to acknowledge the elephant in the room of that when we praise men theyve gotta be able to engage with it platonically. me personally, i want to be friends w/ men but largely stick to befriending friends of friends because of scary experiences i’ve had and ik a lot of other women feel similarly. this isnt to go “ermmmm NO” just i know that knowing the situation and trends can help provide some internal security. anyways tldr everyone should just sincerely care ab folks

it does break my heart to hear ab men and their experiences and the cages the patriarchy has put them in tho bc even if there’s a benefit, damn the emotional turmoil of constantly trying to be strong for others isnt worth it. i adopted that kind of people pleasing from my own experiences and ik how bad it tears you up and makes you forfeit the tender part of yourself that needs nurturing. that tender part of you is far more innate and important to you than the expectations of a rotten society.
