Eyes are just macroscopic lenses to capture ‘invisible’ particles (light waves), ones that are the most present in our atmosphere (visible light) that has always been on Earth (the Sun), evolution just did its thing to use what’s always been around to know if predators/ food is nearby. Same with ears / invisible soundwaves. My physics teacher gave a weird evolution lesson when talking about light and sound waves lol
Idk why #1 randomly brought it up, but it’s basically bc there’s poor blood flow to stuff like your cornea, so your immune system doesn’t “learn” to recognize things in there as part of your body. If it does happen to become exposed to those parts of your eye due to like an injury, it can mount an immune response.
