it’s pride and that very much should include men’s mental health and if you’re out here ranting and raving about how it’s men’s mental health month and “fuck pride month” it’s because you don’t actually care about the wellbeing of the men in your life it’s because you wanna score culture war points and perpetuate a restrictive idea of manhood that actually hurts men’s mental health

Unfortunately, most of the people screaming “it’s Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month!” don’t give the slightest fuck about anyone’s mental health.

It can be both 😭 that’s what I’m saying. I’m not trying to peg the other down. I do actually care about the men in my life, I want them to have a good mental space

And they can’t admit they love their friends and whatnot. Hug a homie! Nothing wrong with that. It’s not “gay” but would it be truly that bad if it was?

that’s the point of what i said. when you see men parading mens mental health WHILE putting down pride it’s a clear sign they have a very narrow view of masculinity which is a lot of the reason men’s mental health is so bad in the first place

I say "I love you" to my best friend... I still have depression and anxiety.

Honestly I've seen way more people responding to men's mental health posts with "anyways happy pride month"... it's true that I have blocked people on here so I may not see the inverse, but I do see people suppressing MMH month in favor of Pride

….bro I never said that would cure depression or your anxiety. At least having friends and letting them know you care is WAY better than not
