I mean… they did send 400,000 tons of food to the civilians of an enemy enclave, most of whom would happily see every Jew and Christian dead or banished from that land. And no. 1.5 million children do not live in Gaza. There are less than 2.1 million people living there period, fully three quarters of them are not children. Don’t use the name of Jesus to push your political agenda and hatred of Israel.

Dude nobody here is implicating the situation in the Middle East at all. Stop projecting. Food insecurity in America is a real thing. Instead of outright burning 550 tonnes of MREs they could have just gave it away to American citizens.

My mistake. I’m just used to the “Israel bad” narrative that I jumped the gun.

Actually this post *is* referring to the burning of around 500 tons of (allegedly expired) food that was meant to go to Gaza.

Meant for Dubai, not everything is about Gaza or Israel.

Gaza, Pakistan and Afghanistan according to TCD and the Atlantic. It was stationed in Dubai as it is a good distribution space in Central Asia.

I’ll admit I am partially wrong on that one but some of that food was allegedly for Gaza

According to this it was intended for Afghanistan and Pakistan

wait but weren’t they starving? I’d rather eat last-expiration date food than die from starvation

there is a difference between expiration date and best by date. food past its best by date is stale; food past its expiration date is unsafe to consume.
