This is true but the real thing is that AI is not built to help you. Unless you are one of the few dozen people in charge of an AI/data company, AI is built to replace you and shift the balance of power towards them. Using it is literally helping it replace you you’re just digging your own grave.

It's a fact that the amount of energy AI chatbots use is marginal compared to other things people use daily without questioning it at all. Chatbots are just the most overhyped. Plus the vast majority of AI usage doesn't come from individual chatbot usage

In addition, it steals content from authors, often just through online piracy. Furthermore, the leading AI company was founded as a nonprofit and collected its first few unprofitable years as that so it could steal money from charity and then become a for profit company, netting Sam Altman and others billions.
