i’m older gen z but my self esteem is in shambles and im convinced if anyone sees me doing anything, everyone’s gonna see how i do it and know that i suck. hasn’t hit my subconsciousness yet that nobody’s paying attention. im assuming its from the social media effect of everything you do needing to prove your value but who knows

I know it’s just kinda a cliche for older generations to say but young gen z and gen alpha seem particularly sheltered to a ridiculous degree. (Source: as a counselor at a summer camp. Thankfully for the older campers, age 16, so it’s less apparent but I’ve still seen what some of the junior campers are like)

because you get judged for doing literally anything. overheard ppl talking shit about someone just bc of what they were eating… it was rice. ppl are embarrassed bc they’re constantly judged. you’re lucky if you didn’t have to deal with that
