Life is such a gift and I’ve never understood the need to take yourself out of the equation when you were put on this earth for a reason. And the existentialism of it all makes it even more beautiful. We don’t know why or how we got here but for some reason, we were chosen to have a family, friends, fun, etc. We’re all going to die someday. Why rush it?

Your dog is on your bed, waiting for you to come home, confused why you haven’t come back yet. Your cats are wondering the same, sitting in the window watching for your car. Eventually the person you wanted to keep them comes over, broken in tears. They take your animals to their home and now live with the constant reminder that maybe you would still be here if they had made it to you 5 minutes earlier.

Your friends blame themselves. They are sad they didn’t know, they are mad at themselves for not realizing sooner, they are mad that you left. They are broken without you. The day after you take your life is a nightmare that your friends cant escape. Life has to go on, but how can it?
