i think there would be a lot more that got done, might ‘take longer’ but things would get done instead of having to settle and weigh the pros and cons of the many different items within it and in turn stretching out the process

There also wouldn’t be as many government shutdowns with some politicians holding something like Veterans Affairs pay hostage next to funding for a new bridge in their state.

They usually make the larger bills so that people don’t read it. Then they can slip in things they know would never pass.
