As someone who has never cheated, but heard many Reddit stories about cheaters. It seems to usually be based around the fact someone thinks they’re too good for their partner but also gets something from them (like cooking cleaning money etc) but also think they’re to good and deserve something better. That or they’re unhappy with their partner but again have reasons to stay so they break away emotionally and physically while still reaping those other benefits.
