I’m getting flashbacks from when my dorm was infested with bats. They sent emails every day saying to check yourself for bites every morning and your things for bats. Several ppl had to be rabies vacced. We were eventually moved out of the dorm so they could be removed, but it was awful 🥲

You only need a rabies shot if bitten btw. Seems obvious but for those here saying go get a rabies shot. Not necessary if not bitten.

Well that’s good! Glad you got em taken care of too - although I’d get your cats checked for rabies. Even if your cat is vaccinated, there's still a risk if the cats ate / came in contact with them!

yea, my sister was going to take them to work with her but i was sleeping when animal control came so they probably told her to do something different for the moment. i’m not sure though, my cats at the moment seem okay but then again it could change later

That’s good! Just so you know - rabies is asymptomatic until it’s totally set in, and it’s too late to treat the disease if symptoms show.

The problem here is that once your cats start acting weird, the shot isn’t going to help anymore

I’d still recommend seeing a doctor or at least looking at their body closely in the mirror. When you’re bitten, sometimes you don’t feel bite
