this may be an unpopular opinion, but i love social media. i can’t relate when people say they hate it or it drains them bc i’ve intentionally curated a feed that brings me joy. i don’t think social media is inherently bad, esp if you make it work for you

This used to be true but the increasing algorithmic control is eviling it. Nothing is a static, constant page anymore, it keeps reloading

i get what you’re saying. you can’t fully control the algorithm, for sure. but i also think the algorithm responds a lot to what we interact with. like for me personally, i constantly engage with puppy videos, so that’s a lot of what my feed becomes. it might not be 100% in our control, but i do think we can still influence what we see by being intentional about the content we engage with
