I never use margarine to cook but I kinda love it on toast. It’s probably bc it’s just what I grew up on but I find it has a nice taste I usually don’t get w butter. Butter’s more plain. I also live in a place where u can’t really leave stuff out and refrigerated margarine spreads so much easier than refrigerated butter.

Never as a replacement for butter, but margarine got its own place in the kitchen.

I developed a dairy allergy at 17 and really, margarines have come a long way and can be used as a substitute for butter in 99.5% of applications. In most foods you’re not even supposed to be tasting the butter. If you can, you’re using too much.

I can respect that. Margarine is acceptable for simple things like grilled cheese or to butter corn, but butter is still superior

It’s all fun and games till you realize you got a fridge full of butter, and you don’t have any choice but to get somebody stuck in something to downsize your collection.
