I distinctly remember as a kid the moment when I realized, “wait, the way I’m thinking is sexist.” Like, I remember exactly where I was. I wish more young boys had the same upbringing that I did, and were able to come to that conclusion in their own.

Idk why people r downvoting this. This literally needs to happen in order to become not sexist because most young boys are brought up with sexist ideologies.

It’s likely the men that never grew out of their “girls are icky” phase downvoting.

at the hs i went to (graduated last year) probably 10% of the guys had grown out of the girls icky phase. numerous friends from college attested that their hs male peers had also not grown out of that phase.

I didn’t claim it was a statistic but that’s just how people are raised… look around you. Even you said most boys have the girls are icky phase. And yeah it goes away for a lot of them around middle school but for some of them it never does and it just fuels misogyny. I’m not saying little boys are at fault for it that’s just genuinely what they’re taught, and as they get older and develop their own sense of morality they often have to unlearn some of these things.
