i never got the obsession with over seasoning foods. i use fresh herbs when i cook - i don’t pour half a bottle of dried paprika, salt, chili pepper, etc in my food. i use the actual herbs to taste. over seasoning food means one of two things. either you can’t cook for shit and need to rely on it to make your food palatable, or you’re cooking with rotten/bad food and need to mask it. the only seasonings you should use are the ones that can’t be found in nature (lemon pepper). also marinate pls

gordon ramsey is a pretentious british loser who rides name value. he’s the kevin durant of the culinary world and he isn’t fit to work in the worst restaurant in italy or greece

i’m just hating lol i come from a culture that grows and uses our own herbs for cooking. i grow everything i season with in my garden for the most part :)

not every recipe requires herbs tho. and herbs only do so much for certain ingredients

yeah? i know? not every recipe requires seasoning. i’m just saying if you’re prefer store bought hyper processed seasonings (bottled flavored sodium) instead of the real thing, you probably can’t really cook that well

this is untrue different cultures such as south asian cuisine rely heavily on ground spices to obtain their signature flavor

IDK why everyone’s hating on you here. Elaborate spices aren’t necessary for good food. A good fish fillet, for example, can be broiled and eaten with lemon juice just as well as it can be eaten blackened with peppercorns

Reread my comment then. I said that it can be eaten “with lemon juice *just as well* as…with peppercorns”

ur comparing as identical, so what’s the hate for? it’s illogical and not making sense if there is no difference
