Her being female had next to no effect on the outcome of the election. While there may certainly be misogynistic groups within the electorate, generally they vote red. The issue is the same as Hillary Clinton’s, she was a bad candidate. That being said, if she was able to clearly articulate her policy differences when compared to Biden and also publicly acknowledged his visibly deteriorating state she would have won or at least would have had a much stronger showing in the general election.
