i'm not defending tampon flushers. you, however, are downplaying the far more common and far more impactful issue of bodily fluids being left where people can come in contact with them. you will almost never be impacted by flushed tampons. i see piss on toilets, floors, walls, and even tp holders literally every day at work, posing a significantly larger safety issue

i see why you'd assume that so let me clarify: the men's room at my job is so frequently unusable due to men's misuse and filth that male employees often have to use the women's room (case in point) i also use both bathrooms because i'm androgynous enough that most people don't seem to mind and it's a pretty progressive area 🤷 so i have plenty of experience in both bathrooms, and mens rooms are often straight up biohazards

its more of a in the moment kind of action of where u put it. if u have a single stall and no waste disposal in ur immediate area i can seee where someone may flush a tampon and go about their day, most ppl dont want to hold it in their lap until a proper trash can becomes available. but i also dont believe used tampons should go in the average public bathroom waste bin and should have their own considering its biohazard

I think personally that’s a terrible way to try to justify that behavior lmao. I know plenty of people who will wrap it up in toilet paper and then throw that in the trash if there’s nothing available. The point of it is that it’s 100% a choice to choose what you do with it, just like it’s a choice to be lazy and not wipe after you pee

which i agree with, i dont think ANYONE should be flushing tampons however i am aware that it still happens and understand why ppl may do it. i only understand ppl doing it if its out of absolute necessity (rare chance there actually is no trash available or a very scared and uninformed teen) i think its different levels of laziness that leave separate impacts.

okay but that’s like what 1 was saying, flushing a tampon is a choice and so is peeing on the seat. you can argue if it’s justified or not but i literally cleaned up after people for a living and personal justification or not, objectively the worse thing for me to clean was the used tampons people didn’t dispose of properly
