Maybe some people think abt each vote and don’t just vote solely based on their party. You can be a conservative but have some differing beliefs on certain topics

Okay, but that wasn’t my point; my point is that conservatives often end up voting in ways that hurt their best interests, such as voting for candidates who run on taking away their assistance programs and often end up screwing their constituents.

Long-term, cutting federal entitlement programs will be in everyone’s best interest. We cannot maintain the levels of spending and debt we are taking on indefinitely and are approaching a breaking point. The longer we put off addressing that, the more catastrophic the consequences will be for the nation in the future.
