Kids these days don't understand computers, and it's very weird to me I always thought young people would just always know how technology works better than old people. But I guess modern interfaces are too "user friendly" and/or proprietary or something

I mean it’s the same thing with manual cars. Now that automatic cars are so widespread and more efficient, people don’t need to know what gears are or how a gearbox works because the car handles all of it. Unless of course you’re going into that field or just have a general interest in it

Like the only people who can keep up with me about computers are people my age, and people around my parents’ age. Like it’s only the youngest of Gen X up to the youngest of millennials who needed to learn how computers work in the background

I actually never thought of it like that. Computers are a little more present in our lives than cars though. Basically everybody uses them 24/7 whether they know it or want to or not.
