Yes he was but he never said that prostitution was a good thing did he. In fact adultry is considered a sin and he even said that. What Jesus actually preached was love and forgiveness. That. All sin in the eyes of the father is the same. And in order for us to get into the kingdom of heaven, we must give our lives and serve him. To live as he lived. If you actually read the words and not make up your own story you will understand this
