Because “AI” isn’t what we think of from Hollywood movies. It’s not a super intelligent mind in a computer, it’s just an advanced algorithm. For example, most “AI” are just LLMs. Which while impressive, don’t actually do anything beyond predicting what the next most likely word is based on any given training data. It has no understanding of what it’s doing, no actual reasoning behind the output.
So it’s easy to create shovelware advertisements full of generic corpo babble, because they have a ton of training data for that. There are millions of hours of corporate ads to watch, orders of magnitude more scripts and emails to train on. But how do you train a predictive model to cure cancer? Where are the massive data sets on how people cured cancer in the past?
