I can understand that but people don’t get props for something like that. I used to know someone who was like that and I called him out and stopped hanging out with him. I will note it’s mostly because I’m black but I’m not going to tolerate being around someone who’s racist especially when the behavior continues. If what you’re describing is one situation then I personally don’t care what they choose to do in that situation I’m just incredibly tired of seeing people think they’re this wonderful

person for calling someone out about their racism and deserve some kind of award for it when you should be calling this stuff out regardless. Especially when this isn’t the first time people have tried to appeal to poc in a “look at me I’m doing this thing so I’m your friend”and that typically ends with the person calling them out also being racist or okay with racism to an extent. Definitely not all cases but majority of the ones that are spread online. But that’s just my opinion on it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes this!!! I don’t think that that’s anyone’s business, who cares what you told them but I’m saying instead of judging someone for having a friend like that. I also think telling a minority that they don’t allow racism or that they stood up against a racist person is a bit racist becuase I’d your telling them based off of their race you are doing the same thing

ooh let me clarify 😭 I’m talking about people where’s it’s obvious they’re only telling people for brownie points. Like the random people on TikTok saying stuff like this but if it’s like handling it it’s a bit more complex for me depending on the situation but yeah

Also just to add, that’s why I said calling it out doesn’t make someone this great person bc that’s kinda just regular stuff not some great feat. That’s also why I added “once they did you wrong” because I meant people who were comfortable still being friends with someone who’s racist but only stopped being friends bc that person did something that annoyed or was personal to the other and now that they’re not friends anymore now they want to blast that information when it’s very likely that if
