Leftists criticizing/shaming others for showing even an ounce of sympathy towards Charlie Kirk is fucking wild. Acknowledging that murder = bad does not make you a traitor. These idiots don’t understand this kind of rhetoric is detrimental for the left.

Assassinating a genocidal maniac who is actively killing millions of people? Correct. Murdering a speaker who was expressing an opinion you disagree with? Wrong. It’s not complicated.

A speaker who contributes towards the radicalization of young men, who then vote for the fascist genocidal maniac whose policies are actively killing people

That’s a complete logical fallacy. By the same argument I could justify violence against anyone who supports anyone who called Charlie a fascist because. They supported his murder because of his views. -> I share a large portion of his views -> they support killing me ->I have the right to self defense. That’s the logical chain that follows from equating speech with violence.

If Charlie was actually calling for violence he could have been sued. He could have been arrested. This wonderful thing in which we live called “a democracy” has mechanisms for handling internal radicals. Those do not include assassination or violence. The only acceptable use of violence is to prevent imminent violence, not just because someone has a different opinion.

Eh, see I disagree with you slightly here. Charlie Kirk was not genocidal, and didn’t kill millions of people. But simplifying his views down to “a difference of opinion” is disingenuous. He didn’t have “bad opinions.” He was a bigot.

“If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.”

If you don’t find these quotes bigoted, simply because he doesn’t explicitly use racial slurs, then I don’t know what to tell you. The guy was a racist and a xenophobe.
