I love people that are so worried about the birth rate but contribute absolutely nothing but complaints to it 💀humans, as much as “it’s in our nature” as they like to claim, we are also adaptive. If a system is so against having the choice to safely raise a child in a loving & equal home w/o financial ruin, then why scream at us like the same system was for it in the first place? We are learning that children are not the right move right now, and unless MANY things change, this will continue

We have tons of kids in adoption and foster care who need homes! It shouldn’t be allowed! And in some cases, the new “parents” can say that they don’t want the kid anymore. Selfish and irresponsible

You’re wrong about me being stupid for wanting kids, but you’re free to think what you want. I’ll just say this though, during high-school I frequently worked at elderly care facilities, and I’ve met old people who lived their whole lives having no kids. All of them had chronic loneliness and/or depression. It’s a biological need we have, and something always seemed hollow in them. You can live life how you want, but that familial connection is what makes us feel human

Seriously though having a biological child is wrong, i think, for two reasons 1. Raising a child in the current economy is next to impossible and I don’t want to bring someone into this world when I can’t provide for them 2. If i actually WANTED kids, I would adopt since there are already so many kids without parents. There’s really no need for a child to be biologically mine. Having a biological kid is sort of wasteful in a way, imo

Not raising a kid because you can’t provide for them is a fair argument. But having a biological kid is not objectively wrong, unless you were only talking about for yourself
