lack of motivation may indicate mental exhaustion. recovering from that exhaustion can really help

oh it absolutely can- these things can build up over time for much longer than you thought meaning you may need more recovery time than you think. what have you been doing to recover?

nothing, actually i work like 2-4 days a week and i play softball which is practice 1-2 times a week and tournaments are on weekends and i can play up to 3 games each day

when i do get time off im just scrolling or laying in bed, i just feel so lazy bc im not doing anything

yea that’s what i thought cuz that’s what i used to do and i fear that doing nothing but scroll on your time off is not helpful for recovery from mental exhaustion i fear. you have to find things that actually energize you and i guarantee scrolling ain’t gonna do it

yea but what am i supposed to do like im just trynna find motivation to clean my room and fold my laundry but nothings helping

dawg if it’s at that level i’m not a doctor or nothin but i fear there might be some deeper issues you need to address at the core of this. however for the interim- i find it helps to break tasks down into smaller even minuscule parts and even if i don’t get to all the parts at least i made progress. so maybe literally just folding one piece of clothing to start or putting one thing away
