I feel like it’s a colloquialism like “you guys” without a literal meaning, but I completely understand if a nb person doesn’t want to be directly referred to as “girl”

I feel like some words can apply to everyone. As 1 said, “You guys” but then you can think of y’all, youse (if youre from Pittsburgh it’s yinz 😂). I also think dude and bro can be gender neutral. Doesn’t exactly mean a boy/girl but it’s like trying to relate? Homie? Pal?

Unpopular opinion, little slip ups like this should not be considered this horrible/terrible thing. If they’re in our gen, they should know tht ppl say “girl” all the time to ppl. It’s not a gendered thing anymore. Obviously practice not doing that, but a slip up here & there is fucking human and it shouldn’t mean that ur this terrible person simply because u fucking mixed up ur words for a sec. Like neurodivergent ppl do not stand a fucking chance with those rules. We’re trying.
