i disagree fully, she has such a diverse discography of genres at the largest possible level. no one will ever do it like her, and understanding that means you really know how to appreciate music

Hey now I know Taylor swift sounds like all the pop music but that’s because she was one of the first to do that style of pop. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I just feel Taylor swift is kind of classic. I feel like she should get some respect for that, and that all the copycats are this meal instead.

so i think this is why she is this meal. she is the plain start of a meal. how do you make a meal better? you add spices, flavors, sauces, seasoning yk. i feel like other artists are building on what she has done, or “adding the spice”

So she should be hated for making a terrible style of music that is repetitive and bland

Country and pop are not very diverse, she also has no real culture to her and all her music is pretty entry level stuff in terms of lyrical or productional complexity. You holding her in such a high regard means you’re either younger than 14 or cisgendered white woman who is afraid of individualism

What about the biggest names in music who hold her songwriting in high regard? The recording academy who awarded her Album of the Year more times than any artist in history? What about Paul McCartney, known as the greatest song writer of all time, constantly praising her songwriting and saying he’s taken inspiration from her? Are they all “afraid of individualism” too?

wrong on both of those assumptions abt me. and complexity does not mean better at all. like i said, if you can appreciate taylor swift you have a really good ear for music. there’s no other reason why she isn’t the best female artist of all time, and almost one of the best artists ever

Paul McCartney and the recording academy are both fairly biased in terms of its cultural and social aspects but yes white people love white people music continue.

I looked it up and although they’re improving on it the recording academy is still more white than anything which is odd considering black music is the most commercially and culturally successful.

that’s pretty wrong white music is for sure 10 times more commercially and culturally successful
