AI is literally ruining academia. The ones who use it are making themselves stupid and the ones who don’t are also being made stupid because they’re not allowed to be naturally smart anymore without an accusation

I usually put a small crashout in it so they know its the genuine article and not some slop. For an eco science class I said the monkeys from penguins of madagascar couldve built a better nuclear reactor than the russians and I got a message from my prof saying he liked my paper

i know it’s not the most academic/professional thing to do but i usually write in a slightly conversational style and put my personality and personal opinions/interpretations in my papers, and i haven’t been accused of using AI yet 🤷‍♀️

This shit is infuriating. I’ve always been great at writing, and now I get to college and suddenly I’m changing sentences to sound dumber and less professional so I don’t get accused of ai usage. I’m not proud of my work anymore but it’s better than having to prove I write it
