it’s hilarious because every woman from back in the day that i’ve met always emphasizes the importance of having my own money before marriage, praises me for pursuing a degree. absolutely 0 have told me or encouraged me to be like them (pop out minimum 6 kids, have no useful job skills and stay home). they’re my number one cheerleaders. it’s the bitter young single men and the young women that pander to them… barely the women that actually lived these lives and in these eras.
