It’s also created some of the largest-reaching mutual aid networks ever seen. It's the largest religion, of course. Many have done harm under its name, and that’s a disgusting reality, but to not acknowledge the good that’s also been done is just dishonest. We can acknowledge two realities: that so much harm has been done due to the bastardization of its text but also all the good that’s come from its messaging.

If you’re talking about the crusades yes they were justified. Because guess what. The Muslims attacked first. Egypt, north and east Africa, and most of the Middle East, including Israel the holy land, was all already Catholic, and by choice, the Muslims came from Saudi Arabia and conquered it all away and were threatening to invade Europe and were already sending pirates to pillage Catholic trade. That’s why the crusades started. So yes it was justified.
