He had two young daughter man. He literally just died. These aren’t consequences. It’s just plain bad. Everyone is so against everyone else they don’t have an ounce of sympathy for unnecessary violence.

True, supporting assassinations of your political opponents does have consequences - galvanizing the right wing into subjugating you forever

Tell that to the people cheering about this.

That’s like saying “democratic socialists deserve to be thrown in a gulag.” You’re completely wrong.

my heart goes out to his daughters, however I will not miss him. I’d feel bad about a mass murderer’s family, too, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to feel bad for him.

and Kirk contributed to thousands of injuries and deaths through his rhetoric so I stand by my comparison. I feel terrible for his daughters, but Kirk got what he gave.

I get what you’re saying. And really I have no want to argue. I don’t think violence should be accepted. I’m all for self defense. But in a matter of someone going out to talk their own beliefs and be met with a bullet to the neck is sad no matter what beliefs they’re spreading. We should be able to safely believe what we each want to without being met with an end like this.

if a someone dedicated their life to convincing people that myself and others don’t deserve to live, I consider it self defense to retaliate. civil violence and indirect violence are still violence. but I respect that you don’t want to argue, and I will say that I pray for his daughters.

I appreciate you being able to talk without arguing. That’s the way things should be done. Much respect. I have my views and you have yours. In the end we can talk about it but we are both just people living and surviving in this country
