Military here, short answer is no. Nothing to do with politics, but the time and energy expended preparing for and conducting these ceremonies is a nightmare. On TV, you see soldiers marching. What you don’t see is guys waking up at 2 AM to spend hours upon hours setting everything up, practicing their drill, and standing around waiting for shit to finally kick off
So if you’re being recognized at the game then you’d probably just have to meet with whoever the PR people are and they’ll tell you when to come out and all that. You just get checked to make sure your uniforms are good and all that, but for civilian events it’s a lot more relaxed. If that’s what you’re asking
