Do any of the soldiers actually want to be part of the parade? Idk if I was a soldier and I worked hard to be where I am, I wouldn’t want to, especially for a rotten orange

Military here, short answer is no. Nothing to do with politics, but the time and energy expended preparing for and conducting these ceremonies is a nightmare. On TV, you see soldiers marching. What you don’t see is guys waking up at 2 AM to spend hours upon hours setting everything up, practicing their drill, and standing around waiting for shit to finally kick off

Ugh I can only imagine! And I complain for getting up at 6 😂 Do they do the same when there’s like a baseball game since I know some soldiers come out for the national anthem? Prob a stupid question sorry. They’ll prepare all of that just for marching a few blocks.

So if you’re being recognized at the game then you’d probably just have to meet with whoever the PR people are and they’ll tell you when to come out and all that. You just get checked to make sure your uniforms are good and all that, but for civilian events it’s a lot more relaxed. If that’s what you’re asking
