the state should never have the right to take the life of a prisoner. if you disagree i want you to tell me a non zero number of innocent lives you're willing to slaughter every year for this cause because exoneration rates are non zero and disproportionately affect marginalized groups - mainly black people

This person is kinda right? This conversation (especially on yik yak and with this level of nuance) has been beaten into the ground. Everyone who has two braincells to rub together knows that rapists deserve nothing but the worst and people who lie about rape are also terrible. We all know that rape is worse than lying about it and there is more depth to this conversation but its been said. This kind of comment doesnt help the conversation and like the op said is just going in circles?
