Lance Twigs is openly transgender. What you just described is a process of refining a narrative based on new evidence. “The bullets had pro trans messaging on them.” Leads to the question “why are those there?” Leads to “was the shooter trans?” Then the new evidence that his trans gay furry lover was well trans leads to the refinement “he probably did this because of that.”

yeah but it’s harmful to use this as an excuse to hate on trans people. anyone can become a murderer if they are a bad person, it didn’t happen because that person was trans

I agree. It didn’t happen because twigs was trans, but it did happen because a bunch of cynical politicians and commentators convinced a vulnerable young man that Charlie Kirk was an actual Nazi and complicit in “trans genocide”. The ideology that claims that to be the case is 100% responsible for this, and pointing that out is not harmful.
