Idk maybe if someone that experiences racism tells you that something is a dog whistle and a micro aggression you should listen instead of thinking you, someone who’s never experienced it, knows better than the person who’s experienced it all their life

And four just pissed me off bc I’m not even allowed to response to their comments but I’m so glad that someone telling me my hair is fake bc it’s long definitely isn’t racist even tho it’s a racist stereotype about black people. I’m glad you know so damn much about racism

Literally. When the majority of Jewish people are trying to educate you about dog whistles on political extremes, LISTEN. Too many of y’all care about social justice for all minorities but sideline Jews in your activism, and some even actively contribute to silencing them inadvertently or otherwise

I am so confused by what you are saying? Someone was offended by someone wanting their dog? Or someone didn’t like being whistled at?

Btw telling someone they’ve never experienced racism purely because of the color of their skin in categorically racist

That argument only goes so far, you can’t gatekeep and expect an open community.

What’re you talking about? Like genuinely. Bc how am I going to tell someone that their experience is wrong when I’ve never experienced the same thing?

I hope this doesn’t sound mean but I’ll elaborate based on the answer. Do you know what a dog whistle is?

In my family we have a little middle whistle that we use to call the dogs. And that didn’t sound mean it was a question

Schizophrenia is a recognized disorder and we don’t tell them their experience of microwave thought broadcasting voice 2 skull is a real thing, we just say they are delusional.

Just because you’ve never experienced voices in your head doesn’t mean the guy at the bus stop telling you that the government is beaming alien voices into his head is telling the truth.

Not saying you’re wrong about racism, but I’ve just noticed that a lot of generalized rude behavior can be just that- egotistical selfish unempathetic rude behavior. It doesn’t have to have a racial component to it.

So what you experience as a “racist micro aggression” may very well just be someone whose pissed off and doesn’t like you for any reason, maybe your political views, or just thinks you’re weird, or someone told lies about you. I’m not going to blame every instance of someone spreading false rumors and lying about me to “racism” it’s just people being narcissistic and weird

Okay in this context it’s not about an actual dog whistle 😭 dog whistles in this context are similar to micro aggressions. Like I said in a comment I left an example can be how once someone said my hair must be fake bc it was long and that’s considered a dog whistle/micro aggression bc of the stereotype that black people cant grow our hair

Mostly but it also talks about more subtle versions of them bc some people don’t feel like dog whistles are micro aggressions. I personally do and that was the easiest way for me to describe it

I don’t think you’ve ever actually talked with a schizophrenic person 💀 if they’re having delusions then they need medical attention. unfortunately, people w/o schizophrenia can be extremely delusional. case in point: you.

That makes sense, when I have noticed people having those towards me I normally just ignore it and let it go becuase I can’t change them only my response and how much room I let it take up in my life. But for me in the last 5 years since I’m in a new environment it’s gotten a lot better I think. But I’m sure if you experience this a lot you cannot have the same response otherwise you wouldn’t have posted about it. I hope it gets better and you ignore these people trying to argue instead of scrol

Thank you and I’m glad you’re in a better space rn. But you’re right bc I have been experiencing more dog whistles and micro aggressions in the past couple months than I have my entire life. I did just get out of a racial discrimination and harassment issue at my college so that’s kinda still in my head 😅

Btw if the worst thing you experienced was getting called a mean name idgaf. When you have to worry about going outside out of fear of experiencing legitimate hate crimes then I’ll care

You are literally the problem. Jewish people don’t owe you to identify anything about themselves to fit into your category of what a “good Jew” should be. You know so much less than you think you do, and your manipulation of a conflict overseas to fuel your own bigotry is not slick.

Zionism and Judaism are not interlinked. You are the problem because you won’t condemn an ideology that is IN THIS CURRENT MOMENT perpetuating a genocide. Jfc. Common sense.
