There is no issue with being rich in the Bible, it is an example of an idol that can take the place of God. You can’t serve two masters as a Christian, but you can be a responsible steward of wealth. The Bible is against discrimination and, when taken into historical consideration, seeks to unify people in a way that was culturally seen as unacceptable. The Bible doesn’t explicitly mention abortion, but humans have inherent value because they are made in God’s image. Vaccines?
Yea I wish humans were more logical and objective. There needs to be a website that’s like, a source of truth. Everything objective about life lives there. And u can talk to an AI about it. And then all humans are forced to accept that objective platform as the one source of truth, or they’re like, exiled to the desert or something. Could be the only way to save the human race from our own stupidity.
They aren’t anti wealth at all. It’s more about how the wealthy act with what they have. It’s like a gun. Shooting an innocent lady bad, shooting something trying to attack innocent lady good. Also the vaccines is dumb and many people who are Christian (just as any group are dumb). But the Bible makes outlines like “children are to be cared for” and “killing innocent humans isnt good.” So we can use those guidelines to determine pretty well things that aren’t specifically mentioned.
And also the bible says killing is bad and all humans have value, so killing ANYONE for ANY REASON is equally bad ALL THE TIME, no? Doesnt matter if theyre a murderer, thief, etc., they are human and have intrinsic value. Not to mention that we are all sinners! So no, having a gun (an item thats sole purpose is to kill) being used on a human ever is bad. Lets try harder next time please
Lol sounds kinda fun. Maybe I’ll give myself a break from trying to become a billionaire and listen to it. But… u have to apply critical thinking skills to understand that our current infrastructure isn’t set up in a way where AI could just take everything over and control us. That’s an oversimplification for two reasons. 1. Our software ecosystems aren’t connected via one central location. If an AI manages to take over a system, it wouldn’t magically gain power and access to everything.
2. Systems have hard shut off switches. If anything happened, we can simply pull the plug. AI can’t hack its way out of a physical shut off switch. So I’m glad you ran into me, someone who’s both open minded and creative enough to understand your perspective on AI, but also technical enough to explain why it’s impossible. Now you can erase that excuse from your list, and I’d be happy to educate you on any other argument like why data plant water usage is a non-issue, why replacing jobs is GOOD..
Morals are derived from our instinct and common sense. Here’s how your brain thinks we have morals: 1. God creates humans and morals 2. Humans are evil but must follow morals to not get in trouble with God Here’s what it actually is: 1. Humans arrive (evolution) 2. We absorb info in environment like a sponge & mirror our parents to learn how to survive 3. Some ppl grow up in good environment and do good normal things, some ppl don’t develop good and have bad brain so human does bad things.
Okay and how about the fact God made certain people wealthy intentionally, like Solomon. If you actually read the book and the context in the situation, it’s not a testament against wealth but the practice and manner in which it’s achieve (like tax collectors illegitimately taking money). You haven’t actually read Matthew have you
Ten percent of a pie you made ten percent of isnt greed. Ten percent of a pie split among ten people isn’t greed. Greed isnt being well off, im the same way someone can be greedy and not well off. Same way confidence and pride are different things, it’s a false correlation and you should know you are wrong. Youre purposely not listening.
Who the fuck said 350 millions people twin 😭. You’re just making shit up. The pie was an analogy for ownership. Like if me and 3 of my friends buy a pizza, wanting three slices is greed. But if I bought the pizza and eating it alon and I want every slice, thats not greedy to eat a pizza. It’s not about pizza but about what you earned. Mark Zuckerberg is greedy because he made his wealth by underpaying workers (taking their portions of the pie)
I don’t think you understand the point. I think we agree. I don’t think anyone should be a billionaire bcs there’s no way you did that fairly. Even if you did, is it fair to hold resources you dont even want? Like why throw away your slice of pizza infront of a homeless person (back to the pizza analogy). I do largely agree. I think you’re assuming im lumped in with billionaire dick riders.
I hear you on the analogy and I misinterpreted it, but also most anti rich movements are mostly anti billionaire and people with so much money that doesn’t even matter. I don’t hate people who have a lot of money but still have to take care of it, but everyone who has so much money and does fuck all with it needs to go(DT and his goons)
