It is really lonely trying to have conversations with my parents about real struggles in my life and being told it is because I don’t believe in God and I need to be closer to God. I’ve made it clear for the past decade I don’t.

Having conversations with religious people like that is basically impossible. I had a Christian tell me I had cancer because I didn’t have enough god in my life but then when I was in remission it was all thanks to god…yeah sure 👍🏽

I’m sorry that they’re unwilling to hear you, being forced to hear that you’re not religious the correct way when all you want is support is hard

I’m really sorry about them, Christians can’t seem to grasp that their nonsense doesn’t help anyone, except for themselves because it lets them have an excuse to not feel guilty about how shitty they are and not have to actually put effort into helping anyone since they can just say “God” and act like that’s helpful. You deserve to be heard and given actual support, you deserve better than this, I’m sorry.

Ironically God can cure any depression and multiple Christian’s have stated that

It was no big deal honestly, like you said it’s nonsense. The talented doctors, nurses and technicians saved me, not god and honestly I sleep better at night not getting on my knees and praying to a god that gives kids cancer as a lesson or whatever have you.

“I don’t like how the christian faith gets pushed onto me from people I love” “I have an idea! Let me, a stranger, push the christian faith onto this person!” You moron

Here is the Christian paradigm - they love you so much that they are willing to tell you about heaven and the gift of eternal life. You don’t have to accept it, but you can’t say that it’s hateful

I know about heaven I went to catholic school for 14 years I’ve read the entire bible I grew up going to church multiple times a week. I don’t need to be taught about heaven. It is the primary religion in this country. We all fucking know about heaven. Leave us alone.

They don’t love you, you’re trained to spread your religion and you’re unable to recognize that this is just a means to convert people to your worldview For once respect that someone doesn’t want to hear about your unsubstantiated beliefs

This is the no true scotsman fallacy. It’s a great way for christians to avoid culpability within groups that adhere to the same worldviews as them

Also no like we might have similar things but to say we all have similar worldviews would just be plain stupid were all humans doesn’t mean we all have similar world views same goes for if ur a women doesn’t mean we all have the same viewpoint and ideas about certain things and the same worldview

Worldview(S) the S there is integral to the point. all christian’s objectively have the same worldviews That doesn’t mean they all think the same, but the integral part of the belief system is the same Regardless, no true scottsman
