She did not deserve that win over Charlie. She got lucky to make it out of Yanu and then did not make one move the rest of the game. Had she actually had the balls to vote Tiff off, I could’ve respected her win, but, Charlie was the only one in the top three that made strategic moves to position himself to win and had control of the game.
I don't think she was actually in much danger on Yanu. Seemed more like the editors trying to give her an adversity storyline early on. Tiff probably would've picked her over Q. Her plan to blindside Tiff was honestly pretty dumb and she realized it but it was too late. The best part of her game is just how well she was insulated socially.
As for deserving her win, she got to the end and got more jury votes than Charlie, fair and square. What more does it take to deserve to win? You don't have to agree with Maria's jury vote but there was nothing inherently unfair about it. Clearly something must've been wrong with her and Charlie's relationship for that to happen.
