People always hate on Rob for the fact that he took 4 seasons to win, but fail to acknowledge he got screwed/unlucky in every losing season.

I have a ton of respect for Boston Rob and his gameplay, but I think it’s unfair to say that about every other time he played. Sometimes unlucky stuff happens. It happens to every player. That doesn’t mean every player is screwed out of winning the game. I think the only time he was genuinely screwed over was in HvV

Marquesas: tribe swap that put him in minority after he was a dominant player in his original tribe. All Stars: bitter jury who didn’t respect his cutthroat game. HvV: Had a 6 person advantage prepared to run to the end, Tyson and Coach swapped vote on a foolproof plan to blow it all up. Winners at War: biggest threat heading into the game, new school players banded together to take him out

His first season he wasn’t very good with his strategy, it wasn’t bad luck so much as his over manipulative nature and tendency to be lazy. Everyone is unlucky at some point in survivor but it’s about how you adapt to difficulties that effects whether you can win.

boston rob is one of the all-time greats, but he 1000% brought the bitter jury onto himself in all-stars, and considering that the minority topples the majority the round after he was voted out in Marquesas i think its fair to say he didn’t adapt well enough there

Marquesas: tribe swaps happen. Good players end up in bad spots. It happens all the time. And he even still made the merge after the tribe-swap! All-stars: part of winning the game is understanding how to appeal to the jury. He played a good game, but if you go into FTC bragging about being so great when the jury is upset with you, you’re never gonna win. Amber appealed to the jury, Rob didn’t WaW: pre-gaming is always a huge part of all-star seasons

Yeah I agree but some of those things are out of his control as a player

Yes, but my point is that things constantly happen to every player that is out of their control. It doesn’t mean they were robbed or screwed over, it’s just part of the game and players need to learn how to adapt to obstacles
