Watched survivor 38. Ending was anticlimactic to say the least. I get why he won but it puts a damper on an otherwise really fun season.

There was a lot of fun things about it. Devens is a great personality. There were other really fun personalities. There were so many blindsides and shakeups. But for me 2 things hampered its success, the ending obviously, Devens was the main character for like half the season and him not winning made the conclusion much less satisfying, especially since Chris won and not Gavin in the f3 that we got.

Secondly, the strategy slammed to a halt for like the second half of the season as it just became “get Devens out” until he finally got out on finale night. Because he was such a big threat to win there was no room for other strategic gameplay which was really lame.
