I like it. People’s biggest complaints about it ultimately boil down to it manufactures blindsides. Blindsides in old school Survivor were always wild and could make you jump off your couch. New-Era blindsides are almost required because of SITD

totally agree. all of the players know about the twist upfront, forces players to play around it, and the timing of when you use it really matters
