Honestly as a survivor fan if this opportunity came up I’d let my husband go. Call me crazy if you want but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that would potentially get us some good money

I get that, but those events are kind of hard to miss, especially with the unpredictability. If it was guaranteed money, I don’t blame him, but that was only a chance at money. You can reapply to survivor, not to watching your son be born and supporting your wife as she goes through this process for the first time.
