I think a lot of people think that calling something queer coded must mean that they’re calling the person who made it queer even if they’re not. I don’t think Taylor is gay at all, but the song could be interpreted through a sapphic lense. Loving someone and fantasizing about them but nothing for them because you will be crucified or stoned for it.
