did you guys even listen to taylor?? she gave us a whole playlist & told us how the album would sound, told us what her goals were with the album, why she worked with max. why are you shocked there’s no “poetic deep cuts”, there was never going to be.
I would argue that Opalite, Ruin the Friendship, and Eldest Daughter ARE poetic deep cuts, they just aren’t slow and depressing

yes! this is directed at the people who are like “where did the folklore go”, but yes i would argue that most songs on the album are pretty poetic, and we do have a couple of deep cuts they aren’t “slow and depressing”!!

Tbh I was disappointed that TTPD wasn’t a pop album, I thought Folklore and Evermore were fine, but after Midnights, TTPD was just meh for me because most of her albums are pop! I don’t know why or how the standard changed, but Taylor has always leaned more pop
