I am! I just now am more hesitant in swiftie spaces but I’m going with my little sister and we have both loved Taylor swift since our childhood. Even for the eras tour movie I just acted like I was going with my sister so she had someone to go with and people were a lot less hostile. Even at the movie someone asked why a f@g was there and my sister screamed at her, and told her, “I should be allowed to hang out with my sister in public without her being called slurs”

Like no one in the theater said anything even after my sister yelled at the girl. The worst part was listening to these people who stood by and watched me get called a slur scream the lyrics, “shade never made anybody less gay”

The level of homophobia in this fandom is astounding

This angers me on the highest level. I’m so sorry this happened. I’m shocked that people can call themselves swifties and then scream gay slurs.. in the eras movie of all places!!! Those people are not Swifties.

It’s okay! It isn’t entirely uncommon sadly, my best friend and I went to the eras tour and we were called disgusting dŷkes for saying that we were excited to see a lesbian (girl in red) open for Taylor. So I was called slurs at both the movie and the actual tour. I know it’s bc I’m visually queer. The way some swifties talk about queer people and especially lesbians kept me in the closet for longer. The best thing we can do is call out homophobia when we see it
