I don’t believe in calling songs/albums growers. I can learn to appreciate it more over time but if I don’t like any part of it on the first listen, I’m not gonna keep listening to it to try to find something to like

i disagree bc there’s been numerous songs on albums, including taylor’s where i didn’t like it on first listen but the more i heard, i started to like it. songs do “grow” on me

also i’m weird and new music always sounds like a bit off to me, idk why it’s like a new melody and not what i’ve heard, so my first listen is always strange and it’s the second where i rly know i like or dislike a song bc i can actually hear it without it sounding weird

I get that but for me personally, I have to like something about the song for me to go back to it. If I don’t like any of vocals, instrumentals, lyrics or production, I won’t revisit it. Personally I give it two listens before I decide if its a skip
