I feel like midnights was a complete era but part of the “midnights era” was also linked w nostalgia for the other eras (cus of the tour) which sort of overshadowed some of its own power. When I listen to the opening lines of that album it has a specificity that’s so 2022 that it feels like it’s own era and moment in time.
Yess I know what you mean, I feel like that’s also sort of happening with the life of a showgirl in a way, because we don’t really have any singles or major promo (at least not as much as past albums have gotten) yet, and there’s still time, but idk how much she would do in less than a month. And while idk how long this era is gonna last, the lack of singles/music videos kinda gives it a “micro-era” feel, at least imo
That’s valid, I think (out of the albums I mentioned) midnights and prob lover were the most complete eras out of all of them, they all had typical rollouts, several music videos and a lot more, also kinda random but I think the re-records were their own micro-era which I think was intentional since they’ve already had their own previous eras
