everyone’s so glad that taylor’s apparently working w max martin + shellback again; hoping TLOAS will sound like dress, false god, maroon/basically sexy. aaand who produced those three? jack antonoff. stop paying him dust when he made ur fav songs fr 🙂

i never thought the day would come that we get a no jack album. and i’m lowkey sad about it because i love him. but i think that maybe the main album will be max and shellback, but the deluxe will have some jack songs

Jack says he doesn’t wanna push Taylor to try new things, that’s my beef with him. Sure he’s a great producer (short n sweet, rep, midnights) but it was getting old on TTPD when a lot of songs kinda just blended into each other.

that’s what i’m hoping for! i love all three of them as producers, but jack has produced most of my top 5 albums and top 10 songs. there’s no doubt that this album will be great with or without his contribution :))

i think taylor is a grown enough woman and artist to know what she wants for her songs/how to tell jack she wants to go in a different direction! sure, some of her songs do sound similar, but they don’t all blend into one another. TTPD definitely had variety in sound imo, but i’m glad she’s gone back to her ‘roots’ of working with max & shellback :)

I agree, and I don’t blame Jack for how TTPD sounded. What im saying is Jack isn’t gonna ask Taylor if she wants to try something new or different. There’s a lot of collaboration in the songwriting process and without any real feedback or challenges from the people you work with, your work couldn’t be your best. I remember there was an interview about clean and imogen heap wanted to add something and Taylor wasn’t sure if it was gonna make the song better, but Imogen heap really pushed for it

I think having someone that can challenge you during the songwriting process is great, and I don’t know if Jack can do that with Taylor
