He didn’t make her avoid stardom. Taylor knew he preferred privacy from the moment she began dating him. Despite him preferring a more private life, he helped her artistry and assisted in song writing. He didn’t make her do anything. It was clear from the start what his boundaries were, and if that’s incompatible with Taylor’s goals, breaking up was the best thing for both of them.
